Cellular Inflammation Explained

Cellular inflammation is a biological response that occurs at the level of individual cells when the body detects damage, toxins, pathogens, or chronic stress. It can trigger an immune cascade that, when acute, is protective, but when persistent, becomes one of the most significant drivers of disease and accelerated aging.

Unlike the visible swelling from an injury, cellular inflammation is largely invisible, operating silently through disrupted mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, and altered gene expression. Over time, this low-grade, chronic state interferes with nearly every system in the body, impairing gut health, clouding cognitive function, disrupting hormonal balance, weakening immunity, and accelerating the biological processes we associate with aging.

The root causes of cellular inflammation are often cumulative: poor nutrition, chronic stress, environmental toxins, insufficient sleep, and EMF exposure all contribute to what can become a significant inflammatory burden. Reducing cellular inflammation requires a layered approach that addresses both the physical and energetic body. This means eating an anti-inflammatory, plant-forward diet rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, supporting mitochondrial health, practicing stress reduction, and clearing energetic blockages through practices like Reiki and meditation.
