You may think that your low energy levels, hormonal imbalances, high stress, and lack of sleep are just problems you have to live with. I’m here to tell you that these issues may be a chapter in your story, but they definitely don’t have to define your whole story.
Let your life be characterized by purpose and vibrancy! How to make that possible? It might be time for a health transformation.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A HEALTH TRANSFORMATION?
- You are always sick, deal with poor circulation, feel sluggish and heavy, or find it hard to unwind.
- You struggle with weight management or constant gut issues and it’s affecting your mood and mental clarity.
- You are stressed, low energy, or experience hormonal imbalances.
- You have trouble sleeping, need to reframe your mindset or reconnect with your intuition.
Maybe it’s all of the above?
Begin your transformation by identifying the exact way you want to feel. Be clear about what you want to achieve, and make it specific and measurable. Then, start small. Don’t try to make too many changes to your health and well-being all at once. You can just focus on one or two and grow from there. Here are a few key components to consider when looking to transform your health…
Whole Food Nutrition
Try and consume minimally processed foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Whole foods contain a higher concentration of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other essential nutrients compared to processed foods. Specifically, plant-based diets have been shown to be associated with a reduced risk of several chronic diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer.
Community
Start with the belief that your ideal community, the people you really need and want in your life, are out there. You have to know deep down that you are worthy of finding those core people. Then, put energy into creating this community by taking action, such as creating groups, organizing dinners, or messaging people you want to connect with. Who should be a member of your community? Maybe someone who supports and encourages you, a mentor, a true love, someone who challenges you, someone who makes you laugh, someone in a similar situation to you, or someone who can lift you up. Share your goals with them, and ask them to hold you accountable. Check in with them regularly, and discuss your progress.
Supplementation
My main recommendation for better health is to include as much whole and organic food in your diet as possible. However, you may find it difficult to eat healthy at all times because of certain reasons, and as a result you may not be able to get enough essential nutrients from foods. In this case, you can take overall health supplements to ensure that you’re getting the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that you need for optimal bodily function. You may also need something like energize & metabolize supplements.
To support you in your balanced effort to fuel your body, I designed a supplement line that I’m very proud of. The Serena Loves Peace of Mind supplements are what I prescribe my clients, designed to fuel your most authentic self down to a cellular level.
Daily Gratitude
Daily gratitude is powerful and should be the cornerstone of your daily routine. By expressing gratitude you remind yourself of all of the valuable people, things, and experiences in your life. This practice can be energizing, inspiring, and keep you in a positive space.
Studies show that gratitude has multiple mental and physical benefits including reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, while also enhancing your immune system, and allowing the brain to send healing, regenerative messages to the cells in your bodies. In general, mindset has powerful control over your body’s systems. Your brain is interpreting the world around you and sending those signals to your gut, hormones, immune system, and beyond!
For me, gratitude is finding peace in the presence, feeling whole in the moment, and cherishing every breath I take. The truth is, there is beauty everywhere, but unless you’re really in the moment, you won’t see all the magic that surrounds you. Practice gratitude for even the smallest things life has to offer!
Energy Work
As supported by both science and spirituality, we know that everything in the universe is composed of energy. Energy flows in, out, about and around, but universal energy stays completely neutral. Since everything in the universe is both connected to and made up of energy, we have the ability to guide or adjust that energy flow by actively transforming it from one form into another, adding and taking away, in an effort to maintain balance and neutrality.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the idea of Yin and Yang is the complementary and inseparable balance of two independent energies that represent all of Universal energy. The two energies work in a constant seamless dynamic flow, balancing and harmonizing and rebalancing to maintain a state of Universal neutrality. When we are in balance, we are in a state of harmony and also in a state where we can optimally receive the highest vibrational frequencies of everything from food and nutrition, to energy healing to unconditional love and that which is intended for our highest good.
As you begin your energy healing journey, exercise balance and harmony by replacing all released energy that no longer serves you, with loving, fulfilling positive light. When you can be conscious of this ever-evolving state of perfect harmony, you can become your own healer and create an authentic, supportive healing system in your life.
Mindful Movement
Exercise has benefits that range from the obvious- improving mood, quality of sleep, and weight management – to the less obvious (but even more impactful) benefits like regulating blood sugar levels and inducing hormetic stress at a cellular level. People who move their body habitually throughout life also have lower risk of heart disease, cognitive decline, mental wellness issues, and diabetes. So, whether your fitness motivation stems from the desire to be toned and muscular or from the goal of living a long and vibrant life, exercise should be a daily priority.
Continued Education
Let’s be life-long learners! The importance of continued education cannot be overstated in today’s fast-paced and rapidly changing world. It can help individuals adapt to changing circumstances and situations. It can help them develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity. I encourage you to expand your knowledge about the health and wellness world, discover what you are passionate about, explore new interests, and learn new things.
In conclusion …
