CREATING SPACE FOR HUMANS TO THRIVE with Sophia Rossi (@rivfifi), author of A Tale of Two Besties and co-creator of Hello Giggles, an empowering online community for women.
Sophia started her career as a producer for The Hills, The City, and then Glee. She began as an Associate Producer on the pilot of The Hills, and over the course of five years, grew into the role of Executive Producer. When Sophia met Zooey Deschanel (HelloGiggles co-founder along with Molly McAleer), together they decided to create a positive space for women. In 2015, HelloGiggles was purchased by Time for a reported $20 million dollars, and Sophia stayed on in her role as CEO.
The job of HelloGiggles is to give the community tools to make transformative changes in their lives. Sophia hopes that this inspires the community to then go out and do the same for other women. “My favorite thing to do,” Sophia says, “is create a space for humans to thrive.”
