The Erchonia low-level laser:

An innovative, non-invasive treatment option for those looking to manage chronic pain

We all experience pain at some point in our lives. Whether it’s due to an injury or a chronic condition, pain can be debilitating and interfere with our daily lives. In a recent survey from Nuffield Health, it was reported that joint pain negatively affects womens’ emotional and physical well-being, significantly more so than for men. Between 40% and 50% of the women suffering from joint pain reported negative emotional health and poor sleep.

Whether it is physical pain or emotional pain, our energy levels are impaired. That is why, when I work with clients, my main focus is balancing their energy in all of its facets. There are many effective methods and tools for rebalancing energy that I use regularly. And as a longevity expert and holistic biohacker, I’ve spent 20 years in practice, learning and discovering the newest tools, therapies, and techniques for healing the damage done to our cells.

I am very excited to finally share about a biohacking tool that I use regularly called the Erchonia low-level laser! This tool is a non-invasive, drug-free solution that is revolutionizing the field of pain management. The Erchonia low-level laser is the world’s most advanced laser therapy system on the market. The list of proven benefits that come with Erchonia low-level lasers is extensive and exciting. I most often use this tool for targeting and stimulating cellular energy production to speed up recovery time, reduce inflammation, and improve pain management.

Typically, when we experience various types of pain, we’ll turn to the medicine cabinet for a NSAID, such as Ibuprofen. However, those pills can have negative side effects for our body systems, specifically our gut health. Disruptions in our microbiota often lead to systemic inflammation that causes more pain. Lowering inflammation is a key factor in pain management.

The Erchonia low-level laser uses different colored wavelengths to achieve therapeutic results without harmful side effects. In fact, one study showed that low-level laser therapy provided more relief than NSAIDs. The laser penetrates deep into your body, targeting and stimulating the mitochondria in your cells, which helps to increase cellular energy production. This process creates signaling molecules to stimulate biological changes that aid in reducing inflammation and shortening recovery time. The different colors or wavelengths of the laser have specific benefits, making it a versatile tool not only in pain management but also in fat loss, addressing foot fungus, reducing the harmful effects of radiation, and more!

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) works by stimulating the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is the body’s main source of energy. ATP is essential for cell repair and regeneration. LLLT enhances cellular metabolism, signaling, and DNA synthesis, all of which accelerate the healing process and reduce pain.

Erchonia lasers use a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the mitochondria. This light energy helps to increase the production of ATP, which can lead to pain relief and other benefits.

Many people hesitate to opt for invasive surgeries or prescription drug treatments because of the inherent risks. Yet, Erchonia low-level laser therapy offers a non-invasive, drug-free alternative. This means you can address pain management without the adverse side effects commonly associated with traditional treatments.

Inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury or infection. It is a complex process that involves the immune system, blood vessels, and tissues. When inflammation occurs, the body releases chemicals that cause the blood vessels to dilate and leak fluid into the tissues. This fluid buildup causes swelling and pressure, which can irritate nerves and cause pain.

The issue is, a body struggling with chronic inflammation cannot heal due to the free radicals and oxidative stress that damage the cells of organs and tissues!

One important feature of the Erchonia low-level laser is its ability to reduce inflammation in the body. The laser works by stimulating the production of new cells and blood vessels, which can help to reduce inflammation and pain. The body can then begin to heal itself, and the pain can be managed more effectively. Here are several other ways to reduce harmful inflammation in the body.

If you are struggling to recover from any of the following conditions, this type of treatment may be right for you:

  • Arthritis
  • Tendonitis
  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Knee pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Tennis elbow
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)

Several studies have shown the effectiveness of Erchonia laser therapy for pain reduction and pain maintenance. In fact, the FDA has cleared Erchonia’s lasers not only for specific areas such as the back, neck, and bottom of the feet, but for whole body pain.

One 2017 study, published in the journal “Pain Medicine,” found that Erchonia laser therapy was effective in reducing pain levels and improving function in people with chronic back pain. The study found that those who received the laser therapy without any adjunctive treatment had a 49% reduction in pain post-treatment and a significant improvement in function, as measured by the Oswestry Disability Index.

Another recent study found that using low-level laser therapy can help reduce back pain caused by musculoskeletal issues. In this study, researchers tested the Erchonia laser on a group of patients with chronic low back pain. The patients underwent eight 20-minute sessions over a 4-week period. At the end of the study, the researchers found that the patients experienced a 30% or more reduction in pain.

Pain management can be a challenge after surgery, and many people (understandably) turn to prescription medications. However, the Erchonia low-level laser offers a promising alternative. Studies have shown that it can reduce the need for prescription medication post-surgery and improve overall recovery time.

For example, in 2022 it was reported that 32% of births in the United States were by C-section.  Recovery can take 4-6 weeks and 80% of patients report postoperative pain and trauma. While pain, swelling, and reduced mobility are common side effects of a C-section, Erchonia’s LLLT has been shown to combat these symptoms. The technology uses a low-frequency laser that penetrates deep into the body’s tissues, resulting in a reduction of inflammation, pain relief, and tissue repair.

My initial encounter with low-level lasers was both profound and almost instantaneous. I was visiting a friend when she had a practitioner over to address a variety of health concerns, ranging from fertility and muscle pain to lingering symptoms of a cold. Given my background in quantum healing and my passion for holistic therapies and unconventional methods—essentially, anything outside the box—she knew I would be naturally drawn to this method of therapy. As I observed the practitioner using handheld low-level laser devices, moving them in intentional patterns over various parts of the body, I was deeply intrigued – I had to try it myself.

The science of low-level lasers and quantum physics has always fascinated me. I asked the practitioner to focus on parts of my body that held tension, a result of stress and frequent travel, as well as areas with residual scar tissue from past surgeries. In less than an hour I sensed a notable shift: a release of tension and an ease from the kind of subdued soreness and discomfort we often grow accustomed to, rarely labeling it as pain. Immediately after this transformative experience, I delved into the company’s background – its history, the underlying science, and the progression of their technology. The results of numerous studies all show that low-level laser therapy should be considered as a first line of treatment for musculoskeletal pain.  It’s an incredible chance to offer an alternative to pharmacotherapy. Ever since my introduction to Erchonia’s devices, I’ve incorporated low-level laser therapy into my practice, finding it exceptionally effective for pain and inflammation reduction, among a myriad of other health benefits. My excitement has been exponential about the seemingly limitless possibilities for low-level laser use as a safe and effective option for supporting people’s health from a wholistic approach.
