Serena’s Go-To Superfood Snack for Busy Days

filed in:

This recipe is a client and family favorite!

I’ve received so many requests for the ingredients in the superfood trail mix I made with Miranda Kerr recently, and I’m excited to share it with you! This is not just any snack—it’s something I make for clients, family, and friends all the time, especially when I want to offer them a delicious, nutritious pick-me-up that satisfies cravings and supports their well-being.

It’s also a snack I love for my own travels—keeping my energy up and my immune system strong, which can be tricky as a plant-based eater when I’m on the go. You can find more of my favorite health-conscious travel tips HERE—so you’re always equipped to fuel your body, no matter where you are!

Whether I’m working with clients or traveling around the world, having a nutrient-packed snack like this makes all the difference. It’s filled with some of my favorite nutrient-dense nuts and seeds, like pumpkin seeds, which are a great source of zinc. Zinc is crucial for immune health, and I love knowing that a simple snack can offer so much support! Along with these power-packed seeds, I’ve added dried fruit, rich in fiber and antioxidants for extra energy, and of course, a little bit of chocolate for a superfood twist that keeps it fun and indulgent while still being nourishing.

Here’s what you need to make the superfood trail mix!

Nuts & Seeds:

(All nuts and seeds are organic, raw, sprouted, unsalted and/or activated)

  • almonds
  • pistachios (shelled)
  • walnuts
  • pecans
  • Brazil nuts (2 med nuts/day)
  • pumpkin seeds
  • jumbo cashews
  • macadamia nuts (less quantity than the others)

Dried Fruits:

(Dried fruits are all raw, organic, unsweetened, preservative and sulfate-free)

  • goji berries
  • tart cherries
  • wild blueberries
  • golden berries
  • while mulberries
  • dark mulberries (sometimes)

Chocolate:

(All dark chocolate covered items are organic, low-sugar or sugar-free and the nuts still activated)

  • dark chocolate covered raw cashews
  • dark chocolate covered dried golden berries x4
  • cacao dusted activated almonds
  • coffee/espresso soaked almonds
  • dark chocolate chips (sometimes)

This trail mix is not only easy to make but also versatile enough to customize. Keep a jar in your kitchen or a small stash in your bag, and you’ll always have a healthy snack on hand.
