Meet Celebrity Chef Serena Poon

Serena Poon (celebrity chef, nutritionist, and fashion designer) is a down-to-earth health icon that continues to be an advocate for a healthy lifestyle as well as dedicating each of her days to helping others to reach their personalized goals.

Serena’s life today is nothing at all like the path that she imagined herself taking years before. She first started out as a Political Science major at UC Berkeley with a plan to attend law school after her four years of college. However, those plans quickly changed after undergoing very emotional experiences within her family.

She is open about the fact that losing her father to cancer just before her mother was also diagnosed with cancer completely changed her life. Although the loss or sickness of a family member is never a positive experience to have to go through, it caused Serena to change her outlook on life and, from that moment on, she became dedicated to fulfilling her father’s dream for her of becoming someone who creates meaning. Serena found a passion for stressing the importance of healthy nutrition in order to feel good and live a long, fulfilling life. She continues to do so every day throughout her work.

Her genuine passion for what she does has earned her the success that she has today. After leaving UC Berkeley, Serena was accepted to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School where she excelled tremendously. In fact, she was specifically chosen along with three other aspiring chefs for a prestigious internship at the Beverly Hills Hotel. During this internship is where Serena became exposed to working for very large events at which there were A-list celebrities.

She immediately knew that this was the life for her. Not long after that internship ended, Serena was hired to work at the Playboy Mansion. The guests were amazed by her work. A-list celebrities stopped to talk and offered her positions as their private chefs.

Over time, Serena would get referred more and more, which caused her work to escalate to the level that it is on today.

Although being a chef is Serena Poon’s main focus, she is also known for her techniques as far as providing physical and mental healing practice for each of her clients.

Serena is also working on her own fashion collection and on updating her website as an additional tool for her followers to keep up with her work, which touches so many around the world.

As previously mentioned, Serena Poon doubles as both a high-quality chef and a nutritionist for her clientele. She works toward promoting a better sense of knowledge about what we are actually eating because people are not always aware of what exactly they are putting into their bodies. According to Serena, one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle is having enough energy throughout the day, which is why she provides special herbs and other remedies to help her clients obtain the amount of energy that they need to live a fulfilling life.
